OTIE supported hurricane cleanup efforts by conducting assessments and managing the removal of nearly 2,000 aboveground storage tanks (55-gallon and larger) containing diesel, propane, and other hazardous materials displaced in the hurricane storm surge. Using GPS coordinates from helicopter and ground surveillance, we assessed, verified, and supported recovery of dislodged tanks.
