OES staff completed the survey, site design, and construction oversight for the resurfacing of Lot 60 on the UW-Madison campus. Design tasks included the resurfacing of a 355,000 SF (1,312 stalls) parking lot, regrading to improve substandard drainage, curb and gutter and sidewalk replacement, pavement marking, inlet casting replacement, construction staging, and site restoration.

Parking space in the area is in high demand and Lot 60 is highly utilized by many different user groups from nearby buildings. Due to the high demand for parking spaces, the parking lot was completed in multiple phases so that three quarters of the parking lot remained available for parking at all times.
