MS2 demolished an existing and installed a new dust collection system at Port Hueneme, Vandeberg AFB. This replacement installation included construction of a new 12-foot by 12-foot concrete pad to hold the unit. The MS2 team assembled and installed the new dust collector unit with an exhaust silencer to reduce noise from the system, an explosion isolation flap, and a vertical outlet exhaust stack with a bird screen. The electrical control system installed by MS2 had a variable frequency drive (VFD) and air flow controller with all new electrical power. The main line was 18-inch diameter with straight pipe or flexible black wire mold hose and connection. On completion of the installation, MS2 performed start-up and testing of the new equipment and system.
